Pyramid

Pyramid

Just because i love this song…..:-)

Pyramid by Charice

Stones…heavy like the love you’ve shown
Solid as the ground we’ve known
And I just wanna carry on

We took it from the bottom up
And even in a desert storm
Sturdy as a rock we hold
Wishing every moment froze

Now I just wanna let you know
Earthquakes can’t shake us
Cyclones can’t break us
Hurricanes can’t take away our love

Pyramid…we built this on a solid rock
It feels just like it’s heaven’s touch
Together at the top…like a pyramid
And even when the wind is blowing

We’ll never fall just keep on going
Forever we will stay…like a pyramid

Cold…never ever when you’re close
We will never let it fold
A story that was never told
Something like a mystery

And every step you took we’ve grown
Look how fast our time has flown
A journey to a place unknown
We’re going down in history

Earthquakes can’t shake us
Cyclones can’t break us
Hurricanes can’t take away our love

A chronicle of events

A chronicle of events

Ooookaayyy. Where shall I start. Tonnes of things happening these past few weeks. Me entering my new job at Fairview International School (after 5 months break from work…adios amigos and so long PUNB). So far, it has been okaay and enjoyable. Dealing with naughty and smelly kids everyday, but most of them are soo cute and adorable you feel like you want to pinch those chubby cheeks. Its been a looonnngg time since I last go to school as kids, now I know how it feels like to be one of the staff. And the best part is folks, I get to go home super early everyday at 3.30p.m. (yezzzz!!). Then there’s preggy Capuk’s belly getting bigger (okay, actually her real name is NurSafwa but the cat can’t afford to carry such a BIG name, hehe) and visiting the orphanage for the time (open house).

Anyways, adalah satu hari tu teringin sangat nak makan pancake. Those fluffy pancakes are sooo tempting. So I decided to search the internet for a recipe and tried it the next morning. Perrghh…sodaappp!! Must update tehe recipe soon. Just look at my brother’s kedekut face, hehe…

Can’t really remember where the place is, but we visited an orphanage just a day before I start working. Bad memory..tsk,tsk. They actually are training the kids to be Hafiz (where you can memorise the Quran). We bring along little UJ so he can jumpa abang2 kat situ (but they are tooo shy!!). Anyway, it was just a short visit but UJ’s having fun there. Notice those two kids? The abang2 are verryy shy that they won’t pose for the camera…;P

P/S: Big project coming soon. Been doing the paper work starting tonite. Can’t tell anything now as nothing is confirmed yet. Fingers crossed…:-)

Raya 2011 story and more…

Raya 2011 story and more…

First of all…SELAMAT HARI RAYA!! When it comes to Syawal, memang best sangat (however, I still miss Ramadhan). Gotta say that this year’s Raya was absolutely eventful (macam taun2 lepas gak). But….this year we celebrate it with a new family member, A.K.A my little Muhammad Uzair. This year is his first Raya and sooo i decided that we pakai baju sedondon. Seronoknya bila dah ada a family of your own. Shall we call ourselves ‘Keluarga Zulkarnain’? Hehe. Cooll!! And so, Muhammad Uzair enjoyed his first Raya indeed. First day: Tok Baba’s Hauz

                                                                                      Dato’ Bandar Langsa…;p

                                                                                                    Jidda Jee

                                                                                    Jim (muka mintak duit raya)

                                                                                    Baba (buat2 tido la tu,hehe)

Abah ready to distribute duit raya, hehe

Then, we all went to Times Square pagi raya sebab Ende Nawal wants IPhone 4. Huh….;p. Notice Nawal’s sad face because dia kene prank ngan Digi, haha!!

Second raya:  At Johor pulak, rumak Tok Nyang…:-)

And this is what we called ‘Duit Raya’!!! And he’s droooling all over it….

Dan dikesempatan ini juga, would like to selit2 a few pics on abah’s Birthday’, which falls on 25th August.

                                                                              Baskin Robbins (nyummmm)

                                                                                           Smile for the camera!!

The foods that we ate that nite (Nando’s style)

More food (errgghh…seeing this makes me hungry)

Sekadar luahan hati

Sekadar luahan hati

If you are reading this entry, you know who you are. Stop being selfish, arrogant and most of all, stop questioning about hukum hakam yang telah ditetapkan oleh Allah S.W.T. Look at yourself and start to think kenapa hidup anda sering dilanda malang dan musibah. I know that deep down inside you are a kind person. Jangan jadi rebelious tanpa sebab….rugi. Hidup ni tak panjang. All the best my friend.

Yours sincerely ~Ava Adora~

How Muhammad Uzair came into the picture

How Muhammad Uzair came into the picture

I decided to write down Muhammad Uzair’s birth story, before I completely forget about it (can I?..hehe). Alhamdulillah, Allah has made it easy for me through all the process. Won’t make it a long-winded one. So here it goes:

18 April 2011

It was just another weekly checkup. Nothing strange happened. No pain, no nothing since my EDD (Estimated Due Date) is next week. Mom ok, baby healthy. CTG results also showed no contraction at all. So rilex je laa. Sempat lagi went to do various chores with hubby (bank, post office, etc.) Until…..

Home  (5.00p.m.) - Went to the toilet. Blood started to come out a bit (uh ohh).

Wifey : Abg..meh sini jap..

Hubby: What happened?

Wifey : Ni…looks like blood…ke bukan kot (sempat lagi deny, hehe)

Hubby: Erk…alamak..really?? (panicky)

Wifey: Takpelah…tanye Umi

Umi: Owh…looks like it’s time…

Wifey: But..takde rase sakit ape2 pun..

Umi: Takpe, lets go to the hospital. Kalau takde takpe. (also panicky jugak..erkkk)

And so, off we went to DEMC. I’m wheeled to the emergency section and straightaway the nurse took me to the labour room (hati da bedebar sangat ni!!). So they checked me up. Ta daaa…already 1.5cm (alamakkk, i’m not ready!!!). Hubby looks relax (ehe..must look cool in front of wifey la). So the doctor gives me option, i can either go back or i can stay at the hospital since she explained the labour might only start tomorrow evening or the next day (first timers always shows slow progress). Decided to just stay there in case anything happens. Sempat lagi tengok Gemilang last episode while having mild and bearable contractions.

DEMC (10.30p.m.) – Went to the labour room for another round of checkup…

Nurse: Owh…da 2cm la…

Wifey: Owh okay..lambat lagi la ni…

Nurse: Hmm, biasanya macam tu la. Takpe jangan risau. Malam ni kita bagi pethidine (painkiller i think). Kalau rasa sakit sangat bagitahu kat nurse ye

Wifey: Ok, thank you.

I’m wheeled back to my room. It’s already 11p.m. Feeling very sleepy. Hubby slept at the sofa near the window. At this point, the contractions are still very mild and bearable. Off to sleep. Suddenly, i felt indescribable pain. Urrgghhh. Every 5 minutes. Tahan je la, lagipun lama lagi nak labour. So i kept quite and tahan je. But after a while it’s becoming stronger. Uhh, tak boleh tahan ni.

Wifey: Abang…help..

(Hubby fast asleep)

Oh noo…must page the nurse. So in came the nurses…(kesian hubby, terperanjat dia nurse masuk). He looked at me, and i said sakit..huhu

Nurse: Kenapa puan?

Wifey : Tak tau la. Ubat pethidine tadi macam tak jalan je. Sakit sangat ni...

Nurse: Owh okay takpe. Kita bawa puan pegi labour room ye

19 April 2011

Labour room (1.00a.m.) – Water bag bursted. By this time contraction was really intense and painful and coming in the interval of 5 minutes. I was already curled in pain (luckily my hubby was there with me).

Labour room (2.00a.m.) – Already 8cm (waaahh…so fast!!).  At this point the pain was unimaginable. The pethidine and nitrous oxide gas didn’t really relieve the pain. (more words of encouragement from hubby)

Labour room (2.30a.m.) – The pushing began. The encouragement from doctor and nurse made the process quite smoothly for me except the fact that I was really out of energy by that time. I thought I knew how to push well, but I really had drained most of my energy out to hold the pain during contraction. More and more pushes…

Labour room (3.29a.m.) - Alhamdulillah, Muhammad Uzair was safely delivered and immediately being put on me. No word can describe my feeling at that moment. The excruciating pain was simply washed away the moment  I saw him and cradle him in my arms. I kissed his cheek. Hubby kiss my forehead, overjoyed. After being cleaned, he was then being ‘azan-ed’ by hubby (now da jadi Abi). Tok Abah and Jidda already waiting patiently at the waiting room (da x sabar ni nak tengok first cucu). They were also completely overjoyed at the first sight of baby Uzair.

So that’s Muhammad Uzair’s birth story. The experience has really made me realized that all the childbirth stories that I heard or read before are not imagined or exaggerated (memang sakit, errghhh). When the mothers tell you the pain is indescribable, please trust them that no words can ever represent the feeling. You just have to go through the whole experience and feel it yourself.

However….It was the best moments of our lives. PRICELESS!!

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Muhammad Uzair – First day

                                                                                                                                                                                                                   With Jidda Wa…:-)

I Love To Cook #1 ~ Spaghetti Scampi

I Love To Cook #1 ~ Spaghetti Scampi

Yesterday i decided to try my hands on a new recipe. Imma food lover!! And i lurve cooking…:-D. Such joy,tsk tsk…~

Among all cuisine, italian is my specialty…japanese is something i enjoy preparing..korean bulgogi is hawt!!..and not forgetting masakan melayu (still improving on my Asam Pedas recipe). Pendek kata, memasak itu best!! You’ll never get bored, trust me. Nanti da kawen senang…;p~

Anyways, as i was surfing thru the internet in search fo a new cuisine, one particular picture caught my eye. It’s called ‘Spaghetti Scampi’. It’s a white cream spaghetti dish with lots of shrimp on top. Looks sooo tempting. To prepare the sauce, you need to use the prawn stock as one of the ingredients. As well as whip cream, black/white pepper, parsley, basil, butter, shrimp (big fat ones..;p), shallot, garlic and egg yolk. The method is quite easy..so i decided to experiment…~

Walla!! I actually succeeded! Damn i’m happy wit myself..whats with cooking a new recipe on a fasting month (memang best rase dia!). Tak creamy sangat, and no cheese involve. I add up mushroom as a supplement. Mula2 takut jugak kalau tak sedap. Nak makan untuk berbuka ni. Turns out well..yay! Miss Nawal cakap..sedap sedap!! And here’s how it will looks like…yummy.~~

p/s : Shinchan Nakedz, esok saye update recipe lasagne ye…i promise. Recipe kat umah. Ni ade kat ofis, hehe

I Love Sunday

I Love Sunday

Today is such a relaxing day. Woke up from a very good sleep, have a quick morning chat with him, feeling good and decided to kemas bilik..yeah,its been a while since i’m soo busy with work~

So today me and my sis (miss Nawal)…we decided to go shopping @ The Curve. We’ve always like the weekend bazaar…barang semua stok fancy-fancy and they’re quite cheap (ke reasonable, hehe). You’ll never get bored coz every month there’s always new things or new booth opening up. More to spend (i’ve officially appointed Miss Nawal to be my personal shopper!)…haih….~

After strolling thru the bazaar till the end, we decided to watch a flick. At first we wanna see ‘Up’…but one particular movie poster caught my attention. The movie is called ‘Orphan’. Looks decent enough to me for a horror movie. But then, its 18PL (Miss Nawal baru form 4…;p). Nevertheless, we took the risk. No one cares anyway…and in we go. I thought it won’t be any scarier than JU-ON..ni film thriller, bukan hantu. No ghost involve. But….i was wrong. From beginning till end, i couldn’t help but scream to myself. Ni cite phsyco thriller, damn CREEEEEPYY!!! Kalau cite budak kecik jadi jahat memang scary. So..i’d rate it 9/10..recommended for thrill film fans…~

Finally, we went to Sushi King for berbuka puasa…here’s a sneak peak of what we ate there…yummy…;p

Image1180Nice…Carlifornia Rolls are hawt!!
